Far Away
I wish being far away, didn't quiet my soul, in the way, that makes me want to stay away. Running to foreign lands, in hope they'll offer me the perspective home hasn't been able to. Yearning to explore the globe, with nothing but a pen, pad, & you by my side. Gazing at different sky's, filled with the same clouds, that remind us, how beautiful the world, God created us is. Picking your brain, wondering if you feel just as at peace, as I do. Imagining care free individuals, soaking it all in, grateful for the ability to do so. But we have the rest of our lives, you say. Though, those words still haven't comforted the butterfly that lives within, craving exploration. But, still , I wait.
